Call for Subs

Do with that as thou wilt

The big brains at Jabber have been occupied with thoughts of literary grandeur, to the extent that we’ve prioritized the physical book over flickering, temporary Substack glory. And just look at the results! Caleb Roitz’s big bold book in a lovely short run, and this Francone dude’s pean to failure. Talks of second runs abound (stay tuned).

All well and good, but why not stack some subs while we’re at it?

To that end, we’re calling for the subs. Send us something that NEEDS eyes, those tales or snippets or oddities that may not find homes in more conventional “journals.” For while we do not pride ourselves on unconventionality for its own sake, we’re nothing if not fuckabouts. So fuckabout with us.

This is a long way of asking that you send us poems or stories or essays or flash fiction or some other form of organized words and punctuation. See our guidelines for some idea of what we’re after or just read a few past posts and you’ll get it. Got it? Good.
